Meet Dr. DeSpain
Dr. John DeSpain attained his undergraduate and medical degrees, and completed his dermatology residency at Mizzou. He also trained as in intern in Denver, Colorado, returning to Denver to complete his fellowship in Dermatopathology. He has board certification in Dermatology and Dermatopathology. Dr. DeSpain first served full time on the faculty at University Hospital for several years before entering private practice in 1992. He continues to teach medical students in his office. Dr DeSpain also interprets pathology slides for Boyce and Bynum Laboratories. Over the years his practice has evolved to offer a full range of medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology services with the help of a team of over a dozen talented staff members.
Dr DeSpain is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology as well as the Boone County Medical Society and the Missouri State Medical Association. He is active in a number of civic causes as well as his church. In his spare time he enjoys time with his family, fly fishing, golf, boating, and he enjoys traveling to teach at a number of national events each year.

Meet Dr. Cayce
Dr. Kimberly Cayce obtained her undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Missouri – Kansas City. She spent her intern year at University Hospitals in Cleveland, OH, and then the next four years in North Carolina where she focused on research in dermatology and completed her dermatology residency. She is a native of mid Missouri, and although Dr. Cayce enjoyed her time exploring other parts of the country, she knows there is no place like home.
She has published numerous medical articles, with topics ranging from choosing the optimum treatment for acne to treatment of psoriasis and utilizing health care for young children.
Dr. Cayce is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Missouri Dermatological Society, Boone County Medical Society, and the Missouri State Medical Association, and is involved in several other local community organizations.
She is a board certified dermatologist, and enjoys the diversity dermatology has to offer, including medical, surgical, and cosmetic patients. Dr. Cayce has been in private practice with Dr. DeSpain for over five years now and feels very much at home. Most of her spare time centers around her two young children, with the help of her husband, Terrance. She also enjoys ultimate frisbee, travel, basketball and attending theater productions.
